Alliance Forums, getting there

So you know I've been working on alliance forums, forums where it is possible to have forums shared between the corporations in the alliance, but still have our own private corporation forums, and even having access based on settings for both corp, alliance and user account.

That is kinda moving forward really nicely, so I am hoping to see them start to see some use:

The AWESOME alliance forums

The forums will display ingame too, but the functionality is not so good with that ingame browser. It is not my fault, I have even made it display (almost) without tables completely. But still it doesn't really look right, and certainly isn't very fast - but it works.

Teamspeak server updated

The teamspeak server was updated from Release Candidate 2 to the Final V2 edition

This hopefully translated into even better sound quality and such wonderfull stuff.

Other than better performance, this should not have any impact on procedures for connecting or using the server at all.

Stay funky

New Alliance Forums

For some time, a long time now, I have been coding away at some ingame/out of game cross-compatible forums.

It hasn't been much fun, just like it hasn't seen any real "call for", mostly (I think) because people have very different opinions on what communication really is.
No matter, I know there are some different types of players in this game, and the type of player we are after, is usually the type of player who has got the time to sit down and surf the news, once in a while - maybe even respond with something non-sarcastic, once in a while, too.

The forums I am coding on, is a kind of fork of eveBB, which was a fork of PunBB. I am then applying some slightly advanced (actually) style sheet I made for the earlier ingame forums. There will be some chat system built into it, for having alliance meetings. My plan is, then, to get the chat to automatically create some sort of 'DevBlog' type output, that moderators/admins can then post as a forum posting. Would be good for those that missed the meeting.

More on that in the extended posting.

Alliance KB/forums down again

The alliance Killboard and/or forums, which have been a mess since I first heard about them, are continuisly down.

This problem has been mentioned over and over for a long time, but nobody seem to do anything to fix the problems.

Since we have our stuff working just fine, and I don't recall we've had problems of this kind before, we could help out.

I will let someone else use my servers for this purpose tho, but ohh darn - that takes someone actually DOING something. . . .
So stale it is.. lol

Next time someone ask about it, I will direct to this post...

Hey guys!

I've been a little bored during downtime, so i made a few modifications to our Corporate website

Streaming music, hooked up with an ftp account, log in through the web-ftp client

Get log in details from me in game, lets not get it spammed with Aqua and Billie Holliday or whatever

Can check it through the 'Music' link under the home section to the left
